Getting Started

Your professional identity,
owned by you.

Verak is a sovereign digital portfolio built on AT Protocol — the same open standard powering Bluesky, Gander, and EuroSky. Your profile lives on your own data server, not ours.

The foundation

What is AT Protocol?

AT Protocol (Authenticated Transfer Protocol) is an open, decentralised social networking standard. Instead of a company holding your account, your identity and data live on a Personal Data Server (PDS) that you control — and it works across every app built on the protocol.

Your identity belongs to youYour handle, profile, and connections are tied to your DID — a decentralised identifier you control, not a company's database.
Works across the whole ecosystemOne account on Bluesky, Gander, or EuroSky connects you to Verak and every other AT Protocol app — no new account needed.
Zero database — Verak stores nothingYour profile data is written directly to your PDS via AT Protocol. Verak is a stateless interface — disconnect anytime and take everything with you.

Three steps

Here's how it works

If you already have a Bluesky, Gander, or EuroSky account you can sign in right now with one click. If not, creating one takes about two minutes.

1

Create an AT Protocol account

The easiest way is through Bluesky (bsky.app) — it's free and takes two minutes. If you're in Canada, Gander 🇨🇦 is a great choice (coming soon). European users can join EuroSky 🇪🇺. Every AT Protocol network uses the same identity standard — one account works everywhere.

2

Sign in with OAuth

Head to the Verak sign-in page, enter your handle (e.g. @you.bsky.social) and click Continue. You'll be redirected to your network to review and approve access — no passwords copied, no credentials shared.

3

You're in

After approving, you'll be returned to Verak automatically. Your profile, connections, and credentials are loaded directly from your PDS — nothing is stored on Verak's servers. Revoke access at any time from your network's Settings → Authorized Apps.

Secure by design. Verak uses the AT Protocol OAuth flow — your password never touches our servers. We receive a short-lived, scoped token to read your profile and write your Verak records. You can revoke access from your network at any time.

Supported networks

Choose your network

Verak works with any AT Protocol network. Connect one account or several — your Verak profile aggregates them all.

Verak works with any PDS you can OAuth to — including Blacksky, self-hosted PDS instances, and other AT Protocol networks. If your handle resolves on the AT Protocol network, you can sign in.
